Healthcare (ISSN 2227-9032) is an international, scientific, peer-reviewed, open access journal which publishes original theoretical and empirical work in the interdisciplinary area of all aspects of medicine and health care research. The journal is supported by an international editorial board consisting of distinguished researchers from major institutions around the world.
Work published in Healthcare is highly visible and indexed within SCIE and SSCI (Web of Science), Scopus, PubMed, PMC, and other important databases. Healthcare ranks Q2 in both JCR categories “Health Care Sciences and Services” (73/174) and “Health Policy and Services” (49/118) and was awarded an Impact factor for 2023 of 2.4, followed by an increased CiteScore of 3.5. All manuscripts are peer-reviewed and a first decision is provided to authors approximately 20.3 days after submission.

Initiatives related to Healthcare Journal
EMA strives to promote and develop initiatives and international working groups of experts, identify barriers and opportunities and suggest possible trajectories of implementation. The deliverables may include drafting a final agreed document. It will be published also in a peer-reviewed medical Journal and thereafter linked by the EMA’s web page to be shared and disseminated as much as possible.
The proposal for initiatives and working groups must include goals, context of action, main participants, target audience and planned deliverables (policy briefs, position statements, scientific articles, launch of a topical or a project collection, or of a special issue with a partner Journal or elsewhere, meetings, conferences or educational courses, in presence or as webinars, et al).
EMA, being the scientific partner of Healthcare, launches, under the Sections & Collection unit (see, please, and follow the menu on the left of this page) topical collections and special issues and will contribute to the yearly International Online Conference on Clinical Medicine planned for the second half of the current year.
EPMA Journal

The first Editor in chief of EPMA Journal was Vincenzo Costigliola, current EMA’s President and associate Editor of the EPMA Journal). It publishes results and achievements in primary (individualised protection of healthy persons against health-to-disease transition) and secondary (individualised protection against disease progression) care.
